Vision Therapy

The Vision Therapy location opened in 2025. Vision therapy improves poor visual skills and trains the eyes and brain to work together as a team.

Dr. Ubhi

Dr. Ubhi

Optometrist

Dr. Mona Ubhi was raised in Red Deer, Alberta, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2017, followed by a residency in Binocular Vision and Visual Rehabilitation at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With a deep passion for vision rehabilitation, Dr. Ubhi has dedicated her career to helping patients overcome complex visual challenges, particularly those stemming from concussions, binocular vision dysfunctions, and developmental vision issues. She practiced for six years in Ontario, where she worked closely with two multidisciplinary concussion clinics, collaborating with other healthcare providers to deliver integrative care that profoundly impacted patients’ recovery and quality of life.

In 2021, she returned to Alberta and now serves the Edmonton area with the same mission: to restore and optimize her patients’ visual function, so they can return to the activities and lives they love. In 2025, Dr. Ubhi opened a new Beyond Vision location dedicated solely to serving patients who require vision therapy, a milestone driven by her unwavering commitment to reach and help even more people struggling with visual dysfunction.

Dr. Ubhi’s clinical interests include binocular vision, concussion rehabilitation, pediatric vision care, myopia management, and dry eye therapy. She is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (FOVDR). She is also an active member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists, Canadian Association of Optometrists, American Academy of Optometry, Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, and Vision Therapy Canada.

Passionate about lifelong learning, Dr. Ubhi continuously expands her knowledge through research and professional development. She actively engages in continuing education, attends conferences, and remains current with the latest evidence-based treatments in vision rehabilitation. She believes in the power of personalized care and close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive sport for her patients.

For Dr. Ubhi, vision rehabilitation is more than just a clinical service, it’s a calling. Helping her patients reclaim their confidence, balance, and independence is what fuels her work every day. Her greatest reward is knowing that her care is making a real, lasting difference in the lives of those she serves.
